The NYU Department of Medicine is constantly on the move, filled with extraordinary men and women working tirelessly every day to fulfill our three-pronged mission: to provide the finest patient care possible, teach the practice of medicine to the next generation of students and house staff, and conduct innovative research that will expand the frontiers of medical science. In the process, the Department of Medicine community generates countless remarkable stories, and now, I am very pleased to be able to share at least some of them on a regular basis with our friends and supporters.

Twice a year, in June and November, Conversations in Medicine will bring you up to date on the Department of Medicine, its achievements, breakthroughs, special events, and milestones. Each issue will also include a story from our award-winning blog, Clinical Correlations, and a feature on one or more of our supporters, whose generosity makes possible so much of what we do.
