Gbenga Ogedegbe, MD, MS, MPH, FACP, was recently awarded a five-year K-24 grant from the National Institutes of Health to mentor new investigators in health disparities research, clinical trials involving behavioral interventions, comparative effectiveness research, dissemination and implementation research involving translation of evidence-based approaches to practice-based settings. As an expert in these areas, Dr. Ogedegbe will mentor new investigators, who are committed to careers in CVD and health disparities research. Dr. Ogedegbe’s four R01 grants, including three clinical trials that evaluate the translation of evidence-based behavioral interventions into clinical practices, will support the mentorship activities for this award and serve as the clinical laboratory for mentees to launch their research careers.
