Dr. Abraham R. Khan is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine and an attending gastroenterologist at the Ambulatory Care Center at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Board certified in Gastroenterology, Dr. Khan specializes in general gastroenterology and in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal disease. Dr. Khan is highly trained in performing procedures such as colonoscopy and colon cancer screening, as well as upper endoscopy, and diagnostic tests such as pH and impedance testing, esophageal manometry, and rectal manometry.
Dr. Khan’s research interests are focused on the cause and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) as well as the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal motility disorders such as achalasia. He has published numerous manuscripts, book chapters, and abstracts focusing on esophageal disease.
A member of American Mensa, Dr. Khan is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Khan received his medical degree at the NYU School of Medicine. He also completed his internship, residency, and Gastroenterology fellowship at the NYU School of Medicine.
