Dr. Hudesman is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine and Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at Tisch Hospital, NYU Langone Medical Center.
Board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Hudesman specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Hudesman offers the latest advances in treatment options for his patients, and collaborates with leading NYU surgeons, nutritionists, and other specialists to provide the very best in multidisciplinary, integrated IBD care.
Dr. Hudesman is highly trained in performing endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopy, chromoendoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and upper endoscopy. His research interests center on the microbiome and the diagnosis and management of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
In addition, Dr. Hudesman publishes, speaks, and teaches on the topic of IBD. He is a reviewer for three scientific gastroenterology journals and is on the Medical Advisory Committee and Fellows Education Committee of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA)’s NYC Chapter. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Hudesman has received several awards for his work, including the CCFA Clinical Research Alliance Award.
Dr. Hudesman received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Beth Israel Medical Center.
