Board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Ganjhu’s patient practice is focused on General Gastroenterology and Hepatology (liver diseases). She is highly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of digestive conditions, including celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), pancreatitis, and gastrointestinal bleeding. She is experienced in the prevention, treatment, and management of general and advanced liver diseases, such as hepatitis B and C, non-alcohol fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, and their complications. She is specially trained in performing endoscopic procedures such as capsule endoscopy (camera pill), colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and upper endoscopy (EGD). A fellow of both the American Gastroenterology Association and American College of Gastroenterology, Dr. Ganjhu is also a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is a strong advocate for public health education and awareness, and has appeared on television and radio networks such as CBS, MSNBC, and FOX. Dr. Ganjhu received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. She completed her internship, residency, and fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the Albany Medical Center, in Albany, New York. She then completed a fellowship in Liver Diseases and Transplantation at Mount Sinai Medical Center, in New York City. |
