Tong Jing, MD, PhDDr. Tong Jing is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine, and Director of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the Bellevue Hospital Center.

Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Jing’s patient practice is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver disease, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and colorectal polyps. Dr. Jing also specializes in the diagnosis, staging, and treatment of diseases of the pancreas and biliary system, such as gallstones, pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, and pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Jing’s research interests involve the study of gastrointestinal cancers and the use of interventional endoscopic procedures to treat gastrointestinal disease. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Society and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Jing received his medical degree from the Capital University of Medical Sciences, in Beijing. He went on to complete his PhD in Molecular and Tumor Biology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Jing completed his internship and residency in Internal Medical at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso, and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He completed an additional fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
