Studies by Drs. Zhdanova, Barisoni, and Skolnik identify miRNAs, providing possible therapies to treat various podocytopathies

Studies by Zhadnova, Barisoni, Skolnik et al. identify that changes in miRNAs in normal kidney podocytes in mice leads to a human disease that resembles focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, suggesting that identifying changes in miRNA expression in various podocyte diseases may provide novel therapeutic targets to treat disease.
