The training program accepts three applicants per year. Each applicant is expected to spend between 12-15 months on clinical rotations involving all aspects of clinical nephrology. The remainder of the second and an optional third year is dedicated to research projects involving either clinical or basic laboratory investigation depending upon the interest of the trainee.
Throughout the fellowship program our primary objective is the overall academic success of our trainees. To accomplish these goals, the Division of Nephrology has assembled a strong group of academic nephrologists committed to clinical education, basic and clinical investigation, and fellowship training. In addition, the diverse experiences offered by practicing nephrology in three very different hospital settings ensures that fellows receive a broad-based experience in the management of clinical problems.
