Resident Training Program

Residents rotate through the Bellevue Hospital Chest Service during the second year of their residency program in Internal Medicine. Overseen by a second-year pulmonary fellow and pulmonary attendings, the rotation provides an intensive introduction to the management of tuberculosis, COPD, asthma, interstitial fibrosis, and many other pulmonary diseases.

Rotations through the Bellevue, Tisch, and Veterans Affairs Intensive Care Units provide medical residents with intensive training in the management of critically ill patients.

Residents can also take an elective in Bellevue's pulmonary consult service or pulmonary function laboratory, or participate in any of the division's ongoing clinical or basic science research studies.
